In this lesson, students learn about digital clocks and how to utilize them to tell time. They will learn how to read, pronounce, and write time in 5-minute intervals. Students will learn to differentiate between A.M. and P.M. and watch a video about their differences. Students will read various digital clocks in different situations, and adjust clocks to display the correct times.

Briefly review how to properly read a digital clock with students and the difference between A.M. and P.M. Then, have students discuss their answers to four questions with one another before continuing.
Begin the lesson by describing digital clocks and explaining how to read one. Then, have students reveal different digital clocks with 10-minute intervals. Have them read and listen to the times they see being spoken. Have students adjust digital clocks to show when they need to leave their house in time for their soccer game. Then guide students in practicing both their reading and writing skills by having them write down and pronounce the times they see on various clocks. Have students complete an activity in which they match the time they hear to the correct digital clock in time for their tea party! Explain to students the difference between A.M. and P.M. and reinforce the concept with a video. Have students write down one new fact that they learned.
