In this lesson, students will connect with images and photographs, and use a variety of words to describe their experiences.

Students will be able to identify real-life connections between words and their uses.
Students will match the words, "sour," "sweet," "salty," and "spicy" to pictures. Discuss why it is important to make real-life connections.
Students will look at images of different facial expressions and think of words to describe them. They will look at a new set of photos and describe how they would feel in the depicted situations. Next, students will sort pictures of places in the home that are cozy or not cozy. They will look at some more pictures and write an emotion or feeling they connect with it. They will also look at a photo of a messy room and think of words to describe it.
Students will then make connections to two students in the lesson going on adventures. They will circle words that describe pictures of ice cream and a lion.
Students will respond to ten true/false and multiple-choice questions.
