Quote analysis can be used to inspire and develop critical thinking skills in students. Encourage them to think critically to make connections and analyze these quotes spoken by Martin Luther King Jr.
Students should respond to what they think the quote means and make a connection. They may choose to make a connection with a character from another text they’ve read or respond to how they themselves relate to what the quote says. Finally, students can choose to connect to what they see happening in the world, providing real-world examples. Examples should be provided to support their analysis.
